Geneva New and Old Town

Discover international and historic Geneva—the lake; the famous fountain; the business and banking center; the old town, dominated by St. Peter’s Cathedral; the historic Reformation Wall; and impressive ancient and modern architecture. You’ll visit the Red Cross museum, as well as the United Nations museum with its many remarkable artworks in the Palais des Nations. You will see the Palais’ state-of-the-art conference rooms, some of which have facilities for as many as six delegates from each country. You also can admire the Armillary Sphere, the symbol of the United Nations, Geneva, which represents the constellations of the universe.

Excursion to the European Organization of Nuclear Research (CERN)

Discover the excitement of fundamental research and take a look behind the scenes of the world’s largest particle physics laboratory. From the tiniest constituents of matter to the immensity of the cosmos, discover the wonders of science and technology at CERN. Explore the mysteries of the universe and find out about the gigantic equipment used by physicists at CERN- particle accelerators and detectors. The excursion includes bus transport and program at CERN.

Annecy

Full-day Called "the Venice of the Alps," Annecy is located on the shore of the Lake Annecy, facing one of the most outstanding mountain sceneries in Europe. The old part of the town, officially classified as a "town of history and art," was the capital of the Geneva earls during the 13th and 14th centuries. Our guided tour will allow you to dive into the medieval old town of Annecy and to enjoy the splendid view of the Alps and the Lake.

Chamonix and Aiguille du Midi

A mere 80-minute motorcoach drive will take you from Geneva to the prestigious alpine resort of Chamonix (France), one of the most famous mountain villages at the foot of the majestic Mont-Blanc (4,807meters/15,771 feet). The most famous cable car in the world will take you, after a dizzying aerial voyage, to the Aiguille du Midi (mountain in the Mont Blanc mountain range) (3,842 meters, 12,600 feet). This mountain site offers you a unique 360-degree panorama, taking in the majestic Mont-Blanc as well as the entire mountain range.

CancelLation policy

Cancellations of any social activity must be modified in writing (fax or registered mail) to Kuoni Travel Ltd.
Fees will be refunded after the conference, according to the following policy:
* For cancellation after August 17, 2011: no refund can be made.

The official language of the tour is English. Tour will be confirmed only if a minimum number of 25 participants is reached. In case the reserved tour is cancelled because of a lack of participants, an alternative tour will be proposed on request or the fee will be refunded.
